Building a New Culture of Teaching and Learning
Dramatic Video Below

How does our school culture inadvertently block a "culture of learning" in the U.S.?  Prepare for a bit of whiplash with this scathing video on the U.S. education system.

This dramatic "School Sucks" video (below) by Dr. Tae - skateboarder, videographer, teacher and scientist - takes on higher education, leadership, teaching, grading, math and science ed, the role of mentoring and other highly-charged topics in a fast moving twenty-seven minutes. Tae earned his Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Illinois and he can be found at the Physics of Skateboarding.

Let us know what you think.  Here's a peak excerpt from the video:

"Share what you know"

Will teachers, administrators and schools even allow non-academics to tread on their turf?  To allow others outside their class walls to teach what they know?

Teaching and learning should become cultural habits, not just what happens in school.
Could not agree more.
