Colbert takes on Renaissance man, James Franco

CJ Westerberg, April 6, 2011 1:56 PM

"Is his brain like a shark, and will die if he stops learning?"
- Stephen Colbert about James Franco

Renaissance man, polymath, and Oscar-nominated actor James Franco,
joined Stephen Colbert last night.  Franco is one of Colbert's favorite comedic "subjects"
(must- visit video #1 - Renaissance Nemesis), so the exchange was just waiting to happen.

Great moment:
"J.R.R. Tolkien duel" between Colbert and Franco in the Part 2 clip at the 3:45 mark.

Who won the debate for the best character and plot recall for "Lord of the Rings?"
Hint: Neither had to Google the answers.

If time crunched, you can skip Part 1 without missing a beat and go straight to Part 2 - we
set it up that way -
