John McEnroe & Bjorn Borg - One of the Greatest Sport Rivalries

Oh!  The Life Lessons Learned . . .
HBO Special - "Fire & Ice"

Primo lessons in perseverance, mastery, expectations, effort, friendship, motivation. . .

One of the best short HBO profiles
featuring the relationship between two
tennis greats -
American John McEnroe and
Swede, Bjorn Borg -
in a short documentary, aptly named,
"Fire & Ice."
Below are a couple quick teaser videos, which don't show nearly the depth and longevity the relationship these two rivals share still to this day, as intended.

Whether you follow tennis or not, their narrative frames so many over-arching
themes we talk about -
I thought I knew their story . . . realized how little I did.     ---  C.J. Westerberg

I remember playing tennis on the court right next to John McEnroe at Tennis Port in Long Island City, NY, one day, and will never forget the sheer talent and grace, when sometime one remembers the fire . . .

It had long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them. They went out and happened to things.
