Rick Santorum:
Higher education as indoctrination machine for liberalism &
what makes him want to "throw up"

Video Below

During today's ABC's "This Week," George Stephanopoulos interviews Republican front-runner of late, Rick Santorum.  A few time notations if you want to skip to those segments addressing education:

3:00- 4:00 mark - NCLB; customized education for every child through parents and the community.

9:55 - 11:25 mark - Santorum discusses higher education - claims colleges are indoctrination machines for liberalism. Called President Obama "a snob" for expecting all to go to college. Stephanopoulos states that Obama suggests a minimum of one-year after high school, which could be technical or vocational, agreeing with Santorum's point that  higher ed should include alternative options, yet Santorum believes that college make one into a non-religious person. . . . (I think that was the gist of his point).

13:00 - President's Kennedy speech about separation of church and state makes him want to "throw up."

For most of my career, I was an awful listener in almost every possible way. I was arrogant throughout my 30s for sure--maybe into my early 40s. My conversations were all about some concept of intellectual winning and "I'm going to prove I'm smarter than you."

The Flipped Class = flipped homework

CJ Westerberg, 04.15.2012

flipping a class is also flipping homework. I know, "no kidding, Sherlock" you may be thinking, but the flipped class will have impact on disrupting the concept of homework.
